任天堂上年度淨利創高 Switch後續機種本年度將揭曉

隨著人氣遊戲主機Switch銷售衰退，電玩大廠任天堂今天宣布2025年3月底前的本會計年度內將揭曉後續機種。任天堂今天還公布上年度淨利創新高，並預估本年度淨利將大幅減少。

法新社報導，受惠於日圓走貶，任天堂在截至今年3月底止的上一會計年度淨利創下歷史新高，但任天堂預估，本會計年度淨利可能大幅減少近40%。

對於遊戲玩家和投資人亟欲了解的Switch後續機種相關消息，任天堂社長古川俊太郎透過公司帳號在社群平台X宣布，「我們將在本年度內發布任天堂Switch後續機種的消息。」

任天堂表示，自2023年4月起至2024年3月底止的本會計年度淨利達4900億日圓（約新台幣1029億元），刷新3年前COVID-19（2019冠狀病毒疾病）疫情期間締造的4800億日圓紀錄，當時Switch是居家防疫打發時間必備的良伴。

任天堂表示，「薩爾達傳說：王國之淚」（The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom）銷量不錯，並表示「超級瑪利歐兄弟」（Super Mario Bros）新作及「皮克敏」（Pikmin）系列新作也賣得很好。

「超級瑪利歐兄弟電影版」（The Super Mario Bros. Movie）有助提振瑪利歐系列遊戲的銷量，而且任天堂的「外匯收益和利息收入大增」。

日圓對美元持續走貶，提振了任天堂這類外銷產品公司的獲利。

但任天堂預期，本年度淨利將大幅下降近40%至3000億日圓，並預估硬體銷量將持續下滑至1350萬組。

任天堂上年度硬體銷量為1570萬組，較前一年度衰退近13%。

[BBC News] Dutch artist Joost Klein has been disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest after a backstage incident.

He has been sent home after a female member of the production crew made an allegation of intimidation to Swedish police.

“It would not be appropriate for him to continue in the contest,” while legal process takes place, the organisers said.

The 26-year-old had been among the favourites to win Eurovision.

[DW News] Swiss artist Nemo has won the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.
 
For their song 'The Code' about their own journey to embracing their nonbinary identity, Nemo received the most points from a combination of national juries and audiences around the world.
 
In a press conference after the show, Nemo told reporters that Eurovision wasn't a completely pleasant experience for them and that there were a lot of things that "didn't seem like it was all about love and unity."
 
Nemo advocates for the whole LGBTQ+ community and called on people to have more compassion for each other. "We need more empathy, we need to listen to each other, we need to try to understand each other instead of talking about each other, we need to talk with each other and I think that is really important," they said.
 
It was a turbulent Eurovision this year, with protests in Malmö over the war in Gaza and Israel's participation in the contest. Hours before Saturday's finale, Dutch contestant Joost Klein was disqualified over a backstage altercation being investigated by police.
 
After Switzerland, Croatia and Ukraine finished in second and third place. Israel's Eden Golan came fifth after she spent the Eurovision week under tight security. After years of Germany languishing at or near last place, singer Isaak ended up in twelfth place. 25 countries competed in the finale.
