ESPN’s broadcast of a Padres-Dodgers Sunday Night Baseball matchup this past Su
nday hit a multi-year viewership milestone for the network.

The game averaged 1.961 million viewers, the most-watched Sunday Night Baseball
game *not* involving either the Yankees or Red Sox since 2018.

ESPN is enjoying a 20% increase in MLB viewership, albeit through just four game
s, this season. The increase comes despite no Red Sox or Yankees games on the sl
ate so far. In fact, the teams will make just one appearance between them throug
h Memorial Day (Cubs-Red Sox on April 28) until the Yankees host the Dodgers on
June 9.

The viewership for the Padres vs. Dodgers game broadcast was up 38 percent from
last year’s Sunday Night Baseball season average and up 58 percent in the key P
eople18-49 demographic. The broadcast peaked at 9:30 p.m. ET with 2,215,000 view
ers.

巔峰達221.5萬人收看

Through four games – MLB Opening Night and three editions of Sunday Night Baseb
all – MLB games on ESPN are averaging 1,715,000 viewers this season, up 20 perc
ent from this point last season.
