From 1998 to 2002, composer Steve Reich and film maker Beryl Korot collaborated to create "Three Tales", a trilogy of stories about important technological events of the 20th Century.

This scene, from Act 1 (Hindenburg), was cut from the final version because, according to the creators, it "detoured to the basic thrust of the work".

Reich is at his best here and Korot's visual interpretation is evidence of a master film maker.
